TAU creates Word and LaTeX active templates based on existing university requirements, preserving the look of the institution’s Word template. Customization covers manuscript structure, page layout, text styles, accessibility and final checks. The institution reviews and approves both versions before use.
Automated formatting and review tools
TAU provides automated formatting, on-demand checks and correction guidance in Microsoft Word and LaTeX. Students and staff can check formatting and accessibility throughout writing and review. Available checks and corrections depend on the writing environment.
Ongoing template maintenance and updates
TAU maintains the institution’s active templates and updates both Word and LaTeX versions when its formatting or accessibility requirements change. Both follow the applicable university, school or program requirements, helping keep official templates consistent with published guidelines.
Unlimited student, faculty and staff use
The subscription includes unlimited use of TAU by students, faculty and staff within the subscribing institution or schools. Users can run checks as often as needed throughout manuscript preparation and review.
Private manuscript processing
Manuscripts are processed within Microsoft Word or LaTeX. Unpublished findings and sensitive material remain within the writing environment, and manuscript content is never shared with TAU.
Virtual onboarding and support
